For much of America’s history, there were as many Supreme Court justices as there were federal court circuits, as they each presided over one. There are now 13 circuits and 9 Justices.
Easy. 330 million. Everybody is a scotus justice. “Oh no, we can’t do that!” Why the fuck not? Everything becomes a popular vote, direct democracy referendum? Sounds great. “The people need leaders”? Bullshit. The “leaders” have had their chance and they’ve led us to ruin. “The people will be manipulated into voting wrong!” And that’s different from corrupt politicians how? At least my way requires a majority to be duped and not just a handful of people to be bought.
