It sounds like this is a nothing burger, but even if it weren’t- I expect most of the people working at the CDC care deeply about global health and a small but influential number are working directly for nurgle. Regardless of whether any given CDC employee is the former or the latter, if they tell you the US isn’t capable of treating this patient, believe them.
It shouldn’t be the case that the US has one facility that can appropriately quarantine contagious diseases, but if they say there are only 20 beds in Nebraska and 18 of them are full, it’s in everyone’s best interest if an adult country (Germany) can take over and actually follow containment protocols.
