    It’s because molotovs are classified as a destructive device, like a hand grenade or improvised explosive. So therefore they are regulated like any other weapon. You can actually legally make them if you have the right licenses and you serialized them with the proper paperwork.

      wonder if you can serialize a metal ring or something that would survive the bottle breaking and tie a fireproof line to it so you could recover your “legally the destructive device” component from the crime scene and not pay the tax again
