This is a brilliant move on behalf of the US, like sacrificing a pawn to capture a more valuable piece. The US knows that due to the oil crisis from the war they’re losing there won’t be fuel to put in the tanker planes. Sure they lost multiple $80m aircraft, but Iran lost… a drone that costs as much as a used Honda Civic
And with how expensive used cars are getting, in 6 months this loss will retroactively collapse the Iranian economy! Genius!
Iran can’t have an oil-based economy if there isn’t the oil-based economy the US built its entire empire around. Iran will be forced to electrify its drones instead of using lawnmower engines, and unluckily for them China has a monopoly on those electrification components. Guess you’ll have to buddy up with China instead of us and hand them de facto control of the entire historical Silk Road, pal.
