It was tough in high school having people understand the difference to your saying it isnt classified as a sport and therefore not held under the same regulatory standards ans saying it’s not a sport in my personal opinion, cheerleaders in my high school, I was kn your side, it should be considered a gymnastic sport and be treated as such. The sexualizing teenage girls problem went over my head at the time cause as a teenage boy, so was I. But lack of safety was noticeable and I thought this as someone who was street skating the most haggard locations and concave hills without a helmet for 6 hours a day minimum when it wasn’t raining. High school gym mats arent enough for these kinds of stunts
