Oooh USN is getting a Kuznetzov too?

    Talk about a Kremlin takeover.

And they have much less of an excuse! The Russians at least built the Kuznetsov while the USSR was actively collapsing and entered it into service when Russia was a basket case in the 90s. This is America’s newest carrier, built and launched in the Obama administration and commissioned at the beginning of Trump’s first term. And within the last month it’s had all of its toilets back up and had a laundry fire burn uncontrolled for 30 hours.

I think it was due a refit but Trump sent it to war instead. Why one of the other 11? Carrier groups couldn’t go I don’t know.

Nice touch to have the perpetual smoke cloud surrounding the vessel made of dryer lint and used nylons instead of partially-burned fuel, classy.

Is probably just an accident like most losses that the US has had in this war… Somebody dropped a cigarette or something

You’d be shocked how much stuff like this happens on board carriers. They are massive and difficult to maintain and operate.

I am sure but up till now 4 aircrafts have been lost due to accidents but my guess is that a lot of it is about not admitting losses

Why oh why should Crete get involed in supporting the illegal war started by an extremist religious regime against Iran?
