You understand that US projects power in the gulf states through the military bases operated out of those countries? The radar systems form a network that increase the success of punishing Iran’s ability to defend themselves. Incirlik Air Base near Adana is a US base in Turkey, which was likely the target for this interception.

Iran has been targeting bunch of other stuff too besides just US military bases in the surrounding countries including civilian and energy infrastructure.

They have attacked hotels where US military targets were staying. I am not aware of any other civilian targets outside of Israel. The infrastructure hits at the refinery and airports are from my interpretation a wake up call for the surrounding countries that business as usual cannot function while Iran’s sovereignty is under attack. They happened in the first 3 days and I haven’t seen much recently.

Iran literally can’t survive this without pressure from the gulf and international governments and so far it looks like this fight, that they have been planning for decades, has been the biggest wartime embarrassment the US has ever suffered.
