House Republicans authorized a new rule to prevent Democrats from probing the Trump administration’s scandals until October.
Amid mounting scandals out of the Trump administration, House Republicans voted Tuesday in favor of a rule that creates hurdles for Democrats looking to investigate it.
Departments across Trump’s government have been rocked by scandals over a variety of issues: Elon Musk’s glaring conflicts of interest while gutting the federal government, Cabinet officials’discussing sensitive military plans with civilians via a third-party messaging platform or members of Congress benefiting as the White House turned tariffs on and off.
Democrats have tried to shine light on these and other scandals using what are called “resolutions of inquiry,” which can tee up what are essentially special votes over whether to provide information from the president or executive officials.
This constant barrage, I can’t keep up anymore. But it’s the slightly-boring-sounding ones like this one that are the most dangerous imo. Dismantling checks and balances (whatever was left of that). Making sure “you’ll never have to vote anymore”.
From here on out is destruction and capture until theres nothing left to exploit.

Keep moving the dems to the right buddy. You’re doing a fantastic job of it. You’ll be the reason why Jeb Bush or any other far right asshole runs as a democrat. And then you’ll vote for all these republican policies that you pretend to be against. Centrists and moderates are 100% the reason why trump got power. That “good” that you mention does NOTHING. We are so fucked for the next election since you trojan horses have learned NOTHING

What are you doing to secure power for those in your life? This is a vacuum opening up. The Constitution (despite what I just heard SCJ Jackson say on Democracy Now) is fuckin dead fam. States and local governments are going to SCRAMBLE to figure out what they can get away with. And they’re not gonna ask congress or judges, they’re just gonna do it.
So. What are you doing to protect yourselves? Meet your neighbors. Install cameras and motion sensors. Plant poisonous plants where feds might come sneaking. Do. SOMETHING.
