anarchism is when there is no state to use violence to imprison undesirables. punishments are social consequences and at most exhile. although I’m sure that in this case, every anarchist state that has existed would be OK with a lynching.

rich people live like that, no consequences for being among the worst human beings in history.

Anarchism’s last goal, ideally, is having no state. But that is a very reductionist way of seeing anarchism. I really think that you should read more about it and that the police as an organization is not the only solution to people that “break the rules”.

listen, I’d love to talk theory. but I need you to realize, my original coment is a massive oversimplification. parallel to “socialism for the rich, rugged capitalism for the poor”. which is more of a slogan than theory. Please don’t judge me for making an oversimplified slogan, rather than a 3 page essay.

yhea, there are ways to punish “transgressions” in anarchist states. Chiapas had its own system, Rojava had another. mostly based on mediation, but the worse punishment is being ostracized, which isn’t really a punishment and more of the society not consenting to deal with a person who has proven himself dangerous to people. no jails, no incarceration.

Okay, I understand and sorry because I now think that my last comment is quite paternalistic. I thnk that I still have the reddit dynamics of arguing. I just thought that it was important to write because many times anarchism is misunderstood. Have a nice day!

            yhea, we can chill here.

let’s enjoy it before Reddit crumbles and their migration turns this place into another reddit. (Hopefully won’t happen because how federation works)
