Got a 7 day ban on !memes@lemmy.ml after responding to this very abusive commenter with this image:
I reported their abusive comments somewhat expecting to get banned as well. It came as a shock to me when i saw my ban but this commenter got off scot-free. They didn’t even so much as get a single abusive comment removed.
This is the most blatant double standard I’ve encountered on that instance.

That seems to be a similar problem I suffered from, but then again, I think I’m on the fence of either BPR or PTB situation. I’m leaning more towards PTB, as it’s clear that you were making a joke just to mess with the mod. However, there could’ve been a YWHDI (You Would Have Deserved It) moment if it was worded wrong (and boy am I somewhat known for that… clearly). The BPR lean could be as a result of apparently said double standard, and you clearly got a mod into a rage with whatever argument you made that shook him to his core.
