Especially hungary and slovakia are pro Putin and in the EU. Since the EU is democratic, these countries can decide to be pro Putin and buy a lot of oil and gas. Furthermore they block a lot of EU actions with their vetos.
Nevertheless the EU works strongly on its and ukraines safety, but is slowed a bit by these countries

46·3 months agoI do not know how to feel when i hear us offficials speak about russia. The whole trump administration is pro russia.
-trump bought russia time with his deadline demands for ceasefire or peace -trump just said the russian drones could just have been a mistake which is certainly untrue -trump administration supports far right and pro russian parties all over europe in order to destabilize europe -trump supports israels genocide in gaza -trump treats Putin more friendly than selensky or other allied leaders

Russia is already attacking EU/NATO with their hybrid war. Russia is pushing all these far right movements in europe and usa. They also attacked critical infrastrucure e.g. the internet cables and send their drones into europe. Also Russia send killers into europe to kill certain individuals e.g. in Berlin the “Tiergarten killer”. Russia needs to feel that it can no longer do this without consequence. Europe needs to walk the talk.
