1·1 year agoTo be clear, jordanlund does not moderate news@lemmy.world, but the timing struck me as an odd coincidence.
Just something else I found recently

1·1 year agoInteresting case. Not giving any opinion right now, but as always, !world@quokk.au is an alternative to the LW one.

1·1 year agoLanguages are different, not all people know all of them.
If you get a book draft in Persian, are you going to continue writing in that language, or will you translate to one of your main languages?

Ye Power Trippin' Bastards@lemmy.dbzer0.com•!carnivore@lemmy.world new mods bans a lot of people for "downvoting without participation", restored rage bait postEnglish
0·1 year agoGonna have to say YDI here sorry. Blanket downvoting is a bannable offense in any community because it denegrates the platform as a whole.
Ironically, I’m not even banned myself, as I participated (and generally don’t downvote that much anyway, whatever the community)
What isn’t really clear here is that users seems to have been banned for one single downvote? Seems a bit extreme.

Do you know when the announcement will be made about the new “respectful dissent” policy? This seems to fall under this scope

3·1 year agoHello @jordanlund@lemmy.world,
Based on all of the answers below from Canadians citizens, it seems that the comment you removed was correct in the Canadian definition of the government, so not misinformation. Could you please consider restoring it?
