You should still look into Operation Gladio though, it was the US intelligence “stay behind” operation that left a network of right wing terror groups behind to disrupt growing socialist movements in Europe. First funded by the US directly and then later by NATO. Not trying to push the fake news of the OP, just thinking you might not be aware that US and NATO already have a track record of funding right wing terror cells even in allied countries.
